Public Schools

Montgomery County, Pennsylvania has twenty-two public school districts. The districts of Boyertown, North Penn, Souderton, Spring-Ford, and Upper Perkiomen have students from more than one county. Montgomery County students in bordering areas may attend a public school located in another county.

    The Abington School District offers opportunity for students to pursue academic studies at the Honors and Advanced Placement levels.

    BOYERTOWN AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT (610) 367-6031
    The programs offered to qualified students are enrichment honors courses are offered as a weekly, half-day seminar.

    CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT (215) 886-9500
    The district offers a full range of honors and advanced placement courses working with regular classroom teachers to provide support.

    COLONIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT (610) 834-1670
    A wide variety of programs for students are provided including gifted programs and honors courses.

    The district offers enrichment activities and programs within the regular classroom setting with opportunities with community service projects.

    JENKINTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT (215) 885-3722
    A learning support program is offered for grades 7-12. Honors English, Social Studies, Advanced Biology, Physics and Math are offered in grades 11 and 12.

    LOWER MERION SCHOOL DISTRICT (610) 645-1800
    Expectations for student achievement are maintained at a level to challenge the most academically able student.

    LOWER MORELAND TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT (215) 938-0270
    The district has a comprehensive AP program offering 11 different courses in multiple areas.

    METHACTON SCHOOL DISTRICT (610) 489-5000
    Students in the higher grades are encouraged to take Honors and Advanced Placement courses and individual mentorship.

    NORRISTOWN AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT (610) 630-5010
    Honors programs for grades 9-12. English as a second language, German, French, Spanish and Latin are offered.

    NORTH PENN SCHOOL DISTRICT (215) 368-0400
    Accelerated programs are available in mathematics and foreign languages. Honors courses and advanced placement courses are available.

    PERKIOMEN VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT (610) 489-8506
    Advanced Placement courses are offered in calculus, U.S. history, English, and biology. Mentorship’s and internships are also available.

    POTTSGROVE SCHOOL DISTRICT (610) 327-2277
    A gifted program is provided for elementary and middle school children and an honors program is provided in the high school.

    POTTSTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT (610) 323-8200
    Student enrichment program are provided for developing creativity, self-esteem, critical thinking, research, interpersonal and leadership skills.

    SOUDERTON AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT (215) 723-6061
    Various enrichment experiences are provided to allow students to develop their areas of interest/specialty that includes a mentor program.

    SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT (215) 233-6000
    Gifted programs are available for elementary and secondary students. Honors programs are available in high school for major subjects.

    SPRING-FORD AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT (610) 489-1666
    Elementary, middle school and high school students programs including honors courses and A.P. courses.

    UPPER DUBLIN SCHOOL DISTRICT (215) 576-3271
    There are 25 Honors courses available for students at the high school level. Itinerate services are available for elementary and secondary students.

    UPPER MERION AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT (610) 337-6008
    The curriculum program is a combination of enrichment and acceleration within the content areas for gifted students.

    Advanced placement courses are offered in American History, Biology, Calculus, and Literature. Gifted programs are offered at all levels.

    Qualified students who are interested in pursuing a more intensive and accelerated study of the subject may honors courses.
